The multiple sclerosis (MS) is an evolutionary disease of the young adult. It is related on the ignition and the destruction of the myelyn of the central nervous system. This disease is characterized by the presence of " plates " which are lesions present in the brain and the spinal cord.
The multiple sclerosis involves significant handicaps which can block the professional life and disturb the family life. It is generally declared between the age of 20 and 40 years; 2/3 of the patients are women. The multiple sclerosis generally begins with sight trouble, balance, functioning and sensitivity. Its evolution is unforeseeable. At 75 % of the patients, it involves handicaps requiring the use of a cane or a travelling armchair.
There is not any processing able to stop the evolution of the multiple sclerosis. Drugs can however decrease the number or the duration of the handicapping pushes or slow down a little the evolution of the disease. All act on the immune system. The multiple sclerosis relates to today approximately 50,000 patients in France and 2,000,000 in the world.
